Making it in America: Why Manufacturing Matters
Keynote:
Congressman John Garamendi
10th Congressional District California
Congressman John Garamendi, California’s 46th Lieutenant Governor, will explain why Solano County and Northern California are uniquely poised to benefit if we bring back American manufacturing. Congressman Garamendi has proposed four bills to Make it in America to create quality middle class jobs. The bills would end corporate tax loopholes that reward the offshoring of jobs, end federal subsidies for foreign produced transportation and clean technology, and incentivize the capital investments businesses need to expand and hire new workers. They are part of a package of dozens of Democratic proposals in Congress designed to bring back manufacturing jobs. Manufacturing matters. “If we don’t Make it in America, we won’t make it in America.” – Congressman John Garamendi
