The Business Journal’s annual Impact Solano conference will be held Sept. 17 and will focus on pressing issues around water and the economy.

The speakers include:
  • Wade Crowfoot, deputy cabinet secretary and senior advisor to Gov. Jerry Brown, who will address the state and region’s water challenges.
  • Micah Weinberg, Ph.D., who heads the economic institute for the Bay Area Council, will provide an outlook for the Solano region and the state.
And a panel made up of:
  • Ron Lanza, vice president of Wooden Valley Winery.
  • Brooks Pedder, senior managing director of the commercial real estate firm DTZ.
  • Kent Fortner, founder, Mare Island Brewing Company.
“Solano County is in a strong position on both water and on its economy,” said Business Journal Publisher Brad Bollinger. “The county has seen major developments in wine, craft beer and warehouse logistics,” he said.
The conference is co-hosted by Travis Credit Union and underwritten by NorthBay Healthcare and Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty. The conference is produced in collaboration with the Solano Economic Development Corporation.
